TikTalk2Me is transforming personalized speech therapy in the digital realm with its new artificial intelligence-based TikTalk, a new program just released on Apple and Android tablet platforms. TikTalk2me participated in the Maryland/Israel Development Center’s MarketReach America binational accelerator for Israeli entrepreneurs in 2019. Its revolutionary fully digital therapeutic approach gives speech language pathologists (SLP) the tools to provide children with engaging, professional remote speech therapy.
TikTalk2me was founded in 2015 by Israelis Raphael Nassi and Bentzi Treger based on the idea that by harnessing the latest mobile and speech pattern technologies they can use artificial intelligence to help therapists to correct and improve speech disorders and use games to encourage practice.
TikTalk was developed to address the perpetual challenges that no two patients are alike, and insufficient progress is being made between therapy sessions. The TikTalk virtual therapy system was developed by SLPs for SLPs to help their patients practice more often with games based on customized practice protocols that the SLP develops for each patient individually using comprehensive digital tools. And it offers the ability to monitor and provide feedback during or after practice using practice recordings.
“We congratulate TikTalk for aggressively marketing and developing engaging games and customized practice programs which will accelerate speech therapy for children”, said Barry Bogage, Executive Director of the Maryland/Israel Development Center. TikTalk’s AI-based technology and interactive video games will encourage children to practice more at home, thus achieving success at faster rates.
Now, for the first time, parents can download the new system on iPads and Android devices for practice anytime, anywhere, which is activated and guided by their school or private speech- language pathologist (SLP). More robust than a simple training app, TikTalk accelerates speech therapy with precise digitized lesson customization and innovative training for K-6-aged children using highly engaging video games to encourage more frequent home practice.
“This is the most intuitive, engaging and customized speech program available for use on millions of portable devices,” says Nir Gamliel, U.S. head of business development at TikTalk2me, the company that developed TikTalk. Nir is based in Montgomery County, Maryland. “In our efforts to make TikTalk even more accessible, it is now available in Android and Apple app stores. It’s time that patients, parents and SLPs reap the benefits of futuristic therapy today.”
“Some apps are good for encouraging practice,” says Sandra Laserson, M.A. CCC-SLP, an Ohio-based SLP in private practice who helped develop TikTalk. “But I never knew how much practice was being done, how accurate sounds were being produced and had limited mechanisms at my disposal to report the success.”
SLP clinicians already use games and props to engage children in their sessions, but now they can program video games for engaging at home use. Unlike the myriad of apps available, the TikTalk platform incorporates engaging games that can be individually programmed to encourage target repetitions, making practice feel like play. New games are being added frequently so the patient never gets bored and is continually challenged.
“SLPs will love the ease of use and time saving lesson planning features,” Gamliel says. “TikTalk will eliminate the use of-off-the shelf materials, save SLPs time and provide a greater return on investment for the parents of children taking speech training.”
TikTalk will save significant time, motivate and engage patients for more rapid improvement, and make parents happy that their child is on the road to more intelligible speech as a result of more frequent practice.

Israel 21C Article: Artificial intelligence ramps up speech therapy success
Better Hearing and Speech Month in May provides a good opportunity for us to look at three Israeli companies bringing the power of artificial intelligence (AI) to the $4 billion speech therapy market.
Approximately 1.5 billion people globally deal with voice, speech or language impairments. For therapy to be effective, it must be supported by consistent at-home practice, and that is one of the myriad ways AI can help.
TikTalk is geared specifically to children with speech-sound disorders such as articulation and phonological processing disorders, says Nir Gamliel, US head of business development at TikTalk2me, the company that developed TikTalk.
Speech language pathologists (SLPs) use games and props to engage children in their sessions. TikTalk’s cloud-based virtual assistant brings that aspect home, motivating kindergartners to sixth graders to practice the articulation skills they’re learning in speech therapy consistently and accurately.
