Become a Business Advisor to Israeli High Tech Entrepreneurs
Introduction
Entering the U.S. market is a major milestone for emerging Israeli companies. Expert business advisors can bring valuable industry knowledge to Israeli entrepreneurs that often can only be obtained from expensive consultants or through an arduous process of trial and error.
Put your industry expertise to work advising Israeli entrepreneurs. As an MIDC Business Advisor, you can save Israeli entrepreneurs untold amounts of time, wasted effort, money and angst by giving them the formal and (often more importantly) informal insight on the dynamics and key players in various industries in the United States.
The MIDC TechMatch Program is a cloud-based platform that allows Israeli entrepreneurs to easily enter information about their company. It then automatically matches them with relevant industry experts and provides easy access for the experts to review the material in a standardized format to assist the company. Israeli companies thoroughly completeing the TechMatch questionnaire will be given feedback on the company’s position in the U.S. and provided introductions to potential customers, partners, investors and high quality service providers in the U.S. market.
Time Commitment and Process
The commitment we are asking for can scale up or down according to the time you have available. It entails:
- Going to the MIDC TechMatch website to review information on the companies you have been assigned based on your expertise.
- Providing your insight on the company’s technology, business model and strategy for U.S. market entry. Your entries will be sent anonymously to the entrepreneur so they get the good news and bad about their company’s position in the U.S. market, as well as suggestions for success.
- Participating in a webinar presentation by the Israeli entrepreneurs so you have the opportunity to ask questions.
- And, finally, “opening doors” on behalf of the company to valuable business contacts you may have in their industry in the U.S., such as potential customers, distributors, research partners, investors and service providers.
We anticipate the time commitment is about one hour per company. If you have the time and desire to work with more than one company, that would be great. Please let us know.
Regardless of the number of companies you work with, please give each Israeli entrepreneur the attention he or she deserves, thoroughly reviewing the company information provided, completing the evaluation fully and honoring commitments to participate in scheduled webinars and conference calls, and following through on the business introductions you offer.

Confidentiality
The point of Israeli entrepreneurs involving the MIDC is to make valuable business contacts on their behalf in the U.S. market. Therefore, company information will be disclosed. It is the policy of the MIDC not to sign confidentiality agreements.
