To support the growth of Israeli high tech companies, the MIDC established a venture capital fund with The Trendlines Group, Israel’smost active investor in startup companies. The Fund invested in 12Israeli companies, primarily in the medical device field. The scientific innovation for one of the companies, LapSpace, came from Johns Hopkins University of Baltimore. Trendlines licensed the technology, hired an Israeli CEO and built the company in their Trendlines Medical incubator in northern Israel.
